Podmaxxdlmag writes “Podmaxx, the latest in a growing list of 3rd party utilities for managing the ipod on the PC, deftly offers ease and feature-sets that rival or exceed those of it’s competitors.

The key features of Podmaxx are the ability to sync with the outlook mailbox, contacts, notes and tasks, as well as pull RSS feeds for news, movie locations and showtimes from Yahoo, manage podcasts, and add horoscopes. In addition to these sync features Podmaxx also provides a backup utility allowing you to backup your PC contents to your ipod.

Installation:
Windows XP
ITunes 6.0.1
60GB 5G ipod (black - just cause it’s cool)

After downloading the software from the Podmaxx site and applying the license key the install went fairly well with just one minor glitches. I was quickly able to sync with my outlook data, calendar, contacts, mail, notes and tasks. The Podmaxx interface was very simple to use and each outlook sync item included appropriate configurability for each unique features — Contacts and Calendar sync to the standard ipod equivalent menues, while all the other data is syncd under the notes menu on the ipod.”
