Julie Writes: Slowly, but surely, Microsoft is making Media Center Edition more palatable for the CE pro channel.
Today (I think), the company makes available “Update Rollup 2″, formerly known as Emerald. (Don’t get me started on code names. Intel used the cool code name East Fork before naming its new digital home format Viiv.)
Probably the most interesting feature of Emerald (I refuse to call it UR2) is support for DVD changers. There will be four different offerings this fall which will support up to 200 discs. Some changers will come bundled with a PC; others are simply supported via drivers.
